TRIP TO CHENIES MANOR HOUSE
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
WEDNESDAY 9th SEPTEMBER
We’ve received several requests for a return visit to the breathtaking Chenies Manor House.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Chenies, this magnificent Tudor Manor House dates back to 1460. It’s a Grade 1 listed building with a captivating history spanning over 800 years. The manor has connections to some of the most prominent figures of the Tudor era.
During our visit, we’ll enjoy tea or coffee biscuits upon arrival, followed by an informative introductory talk. We’ll then explore the house in small groups led by knowledgeable guides. Afterward, we’ll savour a light lunch of sandwiches and have ample time to wander through the beautiful gardens, the enchanting maze, and the historic church.
The entire day out costs £49.00. The coach will depart from Hawkey Hall at 11:00 a.m. and leave Chenies around 4:00 p.m.
If you’re interested in joining us, we’ll be taking bookings at the August meeting.
