Welcome to Woodford and Wanstead u3a. The u3a is an excellent platform to meet new friends, acquire new skills, nurture interests, and have fun.

We have over 430 members, with new ones joining every month. Anyone is welcome to join, and there is no age limit; most of our members are no longer employed full-time.

All our activities are conducted on a voluntary basis by our members. We hold monthly meetings at the Memorial Hall in Woodford, featuring quality speakers covering a range of topics. We organise theatre trips, outings to stately homes, country parks. and places of interest. Our Events.

There are nearly 50 groups where members can share their knowledge and interests. These groups encompass a wide range of activities, such as walking, pub lunches, ten pin bowling, bridge, and poetry reading. Our Groups

Wanstead & Woodford u3a is a part of the UK-wide Third Age Trust, which comprises over 1000 self-governing branches across the country. Additionally, we belong to the London Region of u3a.
