The u3a is an excellent platform to meet new friends, acquire new skills, nurture interests, and have fun.
We have over 430 members, with new ones joining every month. Anyone is welcome to join, and there is no age limit; most of our members are no longer employed full-time.
We hold monthly meetings at the Memorial Hall in Woodford, featuring quality speakers covering a range of topics. These are held on the first Tuesday of every month. See Our Events for details of up and coming meetings and our speakers.
All our activities are conducted on a voluntary basis by our members. We organise theatre trips, outings to stately homes, country parks, and places of interest Our Events.
There are nearly 50 groups where members can share their knowledge and interests. These groups encompass a wide range of activities, such as walking, pub lunches, ten pin bowling, bridge, and poetry reading. Our Groups
