All our groups are led by volunteers who have taken on the role of leader or joint leader. Groups are formed when people share a common interest or want to learn a new skill or develop a new passion. Some groups are very popular and may be full, but don’t lose hope. Contact one of our Joint Group Coordinators, who will try to start a new group for you.
Most groups meet at members’ homes and are free (although we suggest a 50p donation for tea and biscuits). Some groups, like the Film Group, meet in a hall and there’s a small fee to join to cover the venue costs. We also collaborate with neighbouring u3a’s to jointly run some groups.
Sometimes, members have a skill set or knowledge they’d like to share with others but aren’t sure how to do it. Don’t worry, our Joint Group Coordinators will guide you through the steps of setting up a new group.
